Today marks a big milestone in my career. After more than a decade of being an employee, I have just quit my full-time job as an operations manager. As crazy as it sounds, I am officially unemployed – by choice.

I want to take this chance to express my deepest gratitude to all my previous clients and employers.

MDR Group of Companies for giving me my first taste of being a management consultant while on internship. The owner and CEO believed in my potential and gave me the rarest opportunity. I learned a lot in the construction industry and it’s where I appreciated the critical path method which I dreaded in college and realized how the procurement process is not only a bottleneck in government but also in industries.

Thumbtack for giving me my first ever break as a writer and providing the SEO knowledge that I have now.

Fire Recruitment Australia for giving me the opportunity to be an all-rounder virtual assistant in the training space. There I learned about community and membership management as well as training and course development.

Anneli Blundell who was a great mentor and will always be someone I look up to. Only after working with you have I realized the impact of all the nuggets of wisdom you imparted in my life and in my career. I have gained so much clarity and self-awareness. It was a privilege to have attended your Women in Leadership program. The psychological effects are just so powerful that I did not even know it has been affecting me subconsciously up until now. It has taught me all the communication, leadership, and management skills that helped me in dealing with my team and clients and making the right decisions in my career.

And finally, my Vybe Digital family. You are the best team and it was a privilege to have had the chance to work with equally talented and intelligent team members. I will surely miss our weekly team huddle and will cherish all the inside jokes and waves of laughter we shared. I may not be on the ride with you for too long but will continue to cheer you on and wish for the company’s success.

So what’s in it for me now?

It took all the courage I could muster but I am finally doing management consulting through #ClickUp. This tool has been a blessing to me. Not only did it changed the way I work, but also my mindset. I have finally found my niche and that is through #ClickUp workspace, data, and process design. This is the culmination of 10 years of working as a freelancer/online worker. It felt like I have been helping people achieve their dreams and now I get to have my turn! I feel anxious and giddy at the same and I have never felt this alive.

Thank you to all the people who have supported and believed in me.

Looking forward to this new adventure!
